MOLAB PARTNERS WITH THE CITY OF TALLAHASSEE’S THINK ABOUT PERSONAL POLLUTION (TAPP) PROGRAM
MoLab to provide City summer camp programs to address non-point source pollution!
MoLab, Inc. is proud to partner with The City of Tallahassee’s Think About Personal Pollution (TAPP) program to provide an innovative, hands-on water quality based environmental program. This program will assist in meeting objectives outlined within TAPP Equity in Environmental Education Targeted Outreach grant. For eight weeks during the summer, MoLab will visit multiple City of Tallahassee community centers within the Lake Munson Drainage Basin to investigate, learn, and play for a day.
Through MoLab’s custom created Investigation Workshops, students will become aware of non-point source pollution, of their impact on the environment, and learn how to implement positive sustainable practices to reduce their effect. These Investigation Workshops are inquiry-based, hands-on exploration experiences that allow students to gain firsthand knowledge in the sciences.
“We are delighted to partner with MoLab as they offer this valuable environmental science education program to educate students about non-point source pollution,” said Courtney Schoen, TAPP Coordinator, “the workshop helps further our commitment to change behavior to reduce in non-point source pollution, specifically in the Lake Munson Basin.”
Founders Aimee Hills and Trish A. Hanson are pleased to partner with the City of Tallahassee as they bring unique, hands-on science experiences for the benefit of the children attending summer camps at City community centers. MoLab’s project-based programs provide resources that cultivate and inspire a greater understanding of the role of sciences in our world and are based on equal access to hands-on science education and expertise – creatively and positively affecting those MoLab serves.
